MAC Leadership 1: Steven Hawking

Well, where to begin... Reach for the stars might be applicable starting point for this post. Professor Steven Hawking's TED talk from 2008 very much alludes to humanity as a whole moving toward space. There are few frontiers for humanity left on this planet, and the reality is bleak for our long term survival.
I believe that his message is imperative, and that for our continued survival we must...

"Remember to look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Try to make sense of what you see and wonder about what makes the universe exist" - Steven Hawking

Professor Hawking has always been an inspiration. Suffering from motor neuron disease has defied medical science by reaching the age of 70 with a degenerative illness that usually proves fatal within five years of diagnosis. Professor Hawking overcame his disability to become the most famous scientist living today, and has
sold more than 10 million copies of the books detailing his thoughts.

  1. wonderful selection for your leadership example, someone who has pushed through such a difficult illness and still lead his field and effect how we see the world. Amazing.
